Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, inter-alia, directing the respondents to immediately compile and notify the State-level seniority list of Class IV employees so that the case of the petitioners for promotion to the posts of Clerk in accordance with Rules and instructions may be considered.

At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioners submitted that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his clients would be satisfied in case the demand notice dated 10.01.2022 (P-4) is considered and decided expeditiously. Notice of motion to that limited extent.

In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the controversy, this writ petition is disposed off with direction to respondent No.3-Director, Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, Chandigarh, to consider and decide the aforesaid demand notice dated 10.01.2022 (P-4) in accordance with law by passing a speaking order preferably within a period of 03 (three) months after the receipt of certified copy of this order.
