The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to release them on parole for 4 weeks so as to make arrangements for marriage of their real sister which is to be solemnized on 10/11.02.2024.

Learned counsel submits that although the petitioners had moved separate applications on 19.1.2024 (Annexure P-1) to the Superintendent of Jail seeking their release on parole, but till date the same have not been decided.

Notice of motion.

At this stage, Mr. R.S.Khaira, DAG, Punjab, who is present in the Court accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 5.

Having regard to the fact that the real sister of the petitioners is stated to get married, it goes without saying that the petitioners being real brothers would be required not only to make certain arrangements but MOHAN SINGH 2024.02.06 00:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CRWP-1056-2024 (O&M) - 2 - 2024:PHHC:015757 also to participate in some rites and ceremonies in respect of the marriage. Respondent No.1-State of Punjab, as such is directed to consider the matter and to pass appropriate orders in respect of the application dated 19.1.2024 within 2 days from today after duly taking into account the antecedents and the period already undergone by the petitioners.

A copy of this order be conveyed to learned State counsel today itself so that the same is conveyed immediately to the quarter concerned for necessary compliance.
