The present contempt is pending, on account of the contumacious conduct of the respondent Vidya Sagar. 2.

As per the last order, the medical report of the respondent, Vidya Sagar dated 10.05.2023, sent by Senior Medical Officer, Incharge, Civil Hospital, Ludhiana, has been received, wherein it is mentioned that the said person was bedridden and being 84 years old, unable to walk. He was semi conscious, not oriented and also unable to speak and move. 3.

We have now been informed that he has subsequently, expired on 21.05.2023.

Keeping in view the above, we are of the considered opinion that the proceedings against him have abated. 5.

Consequently, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
