Petitioners have filed the instant Writ Petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ in the nature of certiorari for setting aside the voter list prepared for the year 2023 of Village Kotla Raike, Tehsil Baghapurana, District Moga (Annexure P-3). A further prayer has been made by the petitioners for directing the respondents to withdraw the latest publication/notification of delimitation and conduct the elections as per the figures of voter list for the year 2018.

The petitioners have made a representation vide Annexure P-4 for the redressal of their grievances to the State Election Commission. Learned State counsel has submitted that the competent authority would be respondent No.3-Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chief Electoral Officer, Moga, District Moga.

Considering the same, the petitioners are directed to make a fresh representation before respondent No.3. The respondent No.3- Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chief Electoral Officer shall decide the said representation made by the petitioners within a period of three weeks from the date of filing of such representation in accordance with the law. 6.
In view of the aforesaid observation, the present petition stands disposed of.
