, -./ The present appeal has been filed against the judgment dated 10.03.2016 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar whereby the appellant has been convicted to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 years with fine of Rs. 1,00,000/- and in default of payment of fine to further undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six months vide judgment dated 10.03.2016 in FIR No. 315 dated 04.12.2013 registered under Section 22 of the NDPS Act, 1985 at Police Station Sultanwind, District Amritsar.

Counsel contends that the appellant has since then passed away. He thus contends that the present appeal would abate in view of the said subsequent development and he has also prays that the cost as imposed vide order dated 15.09.2025 may kindly be waived off. 4.

In view of the statement made by the Counsel for the appellant in the Court today, the present appeal is disposed of as having been abated and the cost as imposed vide order dated 15.09.2025 is accordingly waived off.
