(Oral) In terms of the order dated 3.9.2014, the respondent State has inserted a publication in National (English) and vernacular newspapers which have wide circulation in the State of Punjab. These newspapers are : Hindustan Times [Delhi & Punjab Edition], Times of India [Delhi & Punjab Edition], Dainik Jagran [Delhi & Punjab Edition] and Ajit [Delhi & Punjab Edition]. This exercise must have been at a considerable expense to the State. No one has come forward to join the proceedings by appearance or to claim monetary dues arising out of the death of the husband of the petitioner. In view of this situation, it will no longer be required to keep this matter pending and the same shall be treated to have been disposed of with liberty to any of the heirs to come forward and claim any due that they may feel they are entitled to. This could be done by an application praying for revival of the writ petition. The matter will presently be treated as closed. A copy of this order be sent by the office at the address of the petitioner given in the memo of parties in the hope that someone may respond to it.
