(ORAL) Prayer in the present petition is for issuance of directions to respondents No.1, 3 to 5 not to proceed with the departmental inquiry during the pendency of Criminal case registered vide FIR No.RC0052021A0016 dated 14.08.2021 under Sections 7 and 12 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Section 120-B IPC registered at Police Station CBI, ACB, Chandigarh (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel appearing for respondents No.1, 3 and 4 submits that the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous since no interim stay had been granted in favour of the petitioner and that during the pendency of present petition, not only a punishment has been imposed upon the petitioner but even the appeal stands dismissed.

The present writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of as having been rendered infructuous with liberty to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedies against the disciplinary orders passed by the competent authorities.
