Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to official respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondents No.4 to 8 and also for taking legal action against respondents No.4 to 8 for giving threats to the petitioners for not deposing against them before the learned trial Court in case FIR No.286, dated 30.10.2022, under Sections 302, 307, 120-B IPC and Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Jandiala, District Amritsar.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at the behest of the petitioners, aforesaid FIR has been registered and the respondents are facing prosecution in the case. He submits that the accused/respondents are now threatening the petitioners to compromise the proceedings in the FIR. He further submits that representation, dated 21.09.2024, Annexure P-2, has already been filed by the petitioners before respondent No.2, i.e. Senior MEENU 2025.01.31 19:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Notice of motion to respondents no.1 to 3-State only. 4.

On the asking of the Court, Mr.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State and submits, on instructions from SI Jasbir Singh, that necessary action is already being taken on the representation of the petitioners and the same will be concluded expeditiously. 5.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a further direction to the Investigating Agency to conclude the investigation expeditiously prefereably within one month from today, in accordance with law January 30, 2025 ( RAJESH BHARDWAJ ) meenuss JUDGE 1.
