**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. CRM-5340-2021 This is an application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for placing on record copy of the passports of Satpal Singh-petitioner No. 2 and Satwinder Singh @ Sunny-petitioner No. 3 as Annexures P-6 and P-7, respectively. The application is allowed as prayed for. Annexures P-6 and P7 are taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the annexures at the appropriate place.

CRM-M-7242-2021 This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 165 dated 28.7.2020 registered under Sections 323, 324, 34 IPC, Police Station Dasuya, District Hoshiarpur (Annexure P-1) and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in the present

-2case, the investigation is still going on.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that when on 20.7.2020, at about 7.00 A.M., Satpal Singh-petitioner No. 2 was going for morning walk, two unidentified persons came there and by showing knife to him, snatched his gold chain and fled away from the spot. He further submits that the said occurrence was captured in a CCTV installed in a nearby Gurudwara Sahib. The accused were identified by petitioner No. 2 and accordingly, he moved an application dated 22.7.2020 to SHO, Dasuya but no action was taken on the said application. Thereafter petitioner No. 1 moved a representation dated 04.8.2020 (Annexure P-4) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur but till date no action has been taken on the same so far.

Learned counsel further submits that the accused persons are habitual offenders, against whom other FIRs have also been registered and the accused persons also threatened petitioner No. 1 to withdraw the applications given to the police. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioners are NRIs and the accused persons are taking the benefit and have been trying to extract money from them.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners confines his arguments to the extent that he would be satisfied if Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur is directed to look into the matter and the allegations against the accused party who are involved in the snatching of gold chain from petitioner No. 2 by taking up the present petition as representation and to decide the same.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. Without adverting to the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police,

-3Hoshiarpur to look into the petition as their representation and decide the same within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order as per law.
