The case of the prosecution is that on )1%2(%%&, the appellant was found to be in possession of 05 Kgs of poppy husk. Pursuant thereto, vide order dated %&%'(%)( passed by the learned Judge, Special Court, Sri Muktsar Sahib, the appellant was convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 03 months and to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/- and in default thereof, to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of seven days.
