(Oral) Petitioner has preferred this petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to rectify the record by mentioning correct name of the petitioner in the death certificate of her husband i.e. Late Sh. Balwant Singh.

Balwant Singh was hospitalized in Amandeep Healthcare Private Ltd. Hospital on 05.07.2021. He was declared dead on 05.07.2021 itself. Name of the deceased wife was wrongly recorded as Rani Devi instead of Ninder Kaur. Petitioner approached the hospital authorities and the error was corrected. Relevant information has already been supplied to respondents No.2 and 3, but needful in the context of issuing PRINCE SAINI 2022.03.10 17:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

death certificate of Late Sh. Balwant Singh with correct particulars viz.a.viz the name of the petitioner has not been done till date. Petitioner has got issued a legal notice dated 03.01.2022 in this context to respondents No.2 and 3 and the same is still pending.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case, legal notice dated 03.01.2022 is directed to be decided by respondents No.2 and 3 in accordance with law at the earliest. The prayer is found to be innocuous enough to be accepted at this stage.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Nikhil Chopra, Addl.,.A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State. In view of nature of order which this Court proposes to pass, there is no necessity to call any response.
