CRM-M-5702-2025 (O&M) 3.

4.

In that view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 5.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No.214 dated 01.12.2024 under Sections 109, 191 (3), 190, 351 (2) of BNS and Sections 25, 27 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Focal Point, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom shall stand quashed qua the petitioners on the basis of compromise subject to payment of Rs. 10,000/- as costs in the Punjab State Legal Services Authority Disaster Relief Fund bearing Account No. 44426937384 IFSC Code SBIN0014656 Banch Name Sector 68 SAS Nagar, Mohali.
