The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to the respondents to release arrears of House Rent Allowance for the period from September' 2018 to October' 2020.

The petitioner is working with respondent as Head Constable. The petitioner is claiming that respondent has not paid to him House Rent Allowance for the period from September' 2018 to October' 2020. He has served legal notice dated 14.11.2023 (Annexure P-4) and reminder dated 11.12.2023 (Annexure P-5) upon the respondent, however, the respondent has not paid heed to said legal notice.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner, at this stage, would be redressed, if the respondents are directed to decide his legal notice dated 14.11.2023 (Annexure P-4) in a time bound manner.

Faced with this, learned State counsel asserts that the competent authority would look into the grievance of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order within two months from today. 5.
