[1] The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation.

[2] This is a petition seeking anticipatory bail in F.I.R. No. 3, dated 14th January, 2021, under Sections 7, 7A, 11 and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 [hereinafter referred to as 'the Act'] and Section 180 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station SVB, Faridabad.

[3] On 16th February, 2021, the contention raised was that at the most, the allegation against the petitioner that he compromised the matter with the complainant and other private persons does not attract the provisions of the Act. Notice of motion was issued and arrest of the petitioner was stayed. [4] Learned State counsel, on instructions from D.S.P. Kailash Chand, submits that petitioner has joined the investigation and is cooperating. His custodial interrogation is not necessary. [5] In view of above noted development, the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail subject to furnishing adequate bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer. He is directed to join the investigation as and when called for. He shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438 (2) of Cr.P.C.

[6] The petition is allowed.
