The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for issuance of a direction to the learned trial Court to expedite the trial of the complaint bearing No.COMI/2013/2016 and decide the same as early as possible, preferably within a period of four months. 2.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner inter alia contends that the complaint was filed by the petitioner in the year 2016 and seven years have passed but the learned trial Court has failed to conclude the trial within a reasonable period of time.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the record of the case, it appears that the petitioner herself has filed an application under Section 311 Cr.P.C. on 25.01.2023 for leading additional evidence and the working of the Court was also hampered during the period of Covid-19 pandemic. As such, this Court finds no force in the argument advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the learned trial

      Court has not concluded the trial within a reasonable period. The delay in conclusion of the trial can be attributed to the upsurge of Covid-19 pandemic as well as the fact that the petitioner herself approached the learned trial Court for leading additional evidence on 25.01.2023.
