AT CHANDIGARH CRA-S-1204-SB of 2014 Date of Decision: 21.11.2018 Balwinder Singh ....Appellant

Versus

Gurpreet Singh and another ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present:- Mr. T.K. Gupta, Advocate, for Mr. Jasmeet Singh Bedi, Advocate, for the appellant. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Proxy counsel for the appellant prays for adjournment. However, there is no justification to grant adjournment in view of the fact that this appeal pertains to the year 2014. Perusal of file shows that in a span of more than 41⁄2 years, this appeal has been taken on board on 13 occasions. For the first time, when this case was taken up on board on 05.05.2014, none had appeared on behalf of the appellant. Therefore, the same was adjourned to 08.09.2014. Thereafter, on 12 occasions, this case is found to have been adjourned on repeated requests made by learned counsel for the appellant. Even otherwise, order dated 19.03.2018 has not been complied with.

Therefore, finding no justification to grant adjournment, this appeal is dismissed for want of prosecution.
