However, Mr. Shashank Bhandari, Addl.P.P., U.T., Chandigarh has today put in appearance on behalf of the State pursuant to an advance notice having been served upon the respondent-U.T., Chandigarh. Learned State counsel has informed that a brief inquiry was conducted and statements of both the petitioners were recorded on 7.2.2023, who have categorically stated that they do not nurse any apprehension or threat to their lives and liberty as of now.

In view of the aforestated position, the instant petition filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking protection to their lives and liberty is rendered infructuous and is disposed off as such.
