JASGURPREET SINGH PURI (ORAL) The appellant Kaka @ Raju was the sole accused in FIR No.283 dated 06.11.2014 Police Station Sultanwind, Amritsar under Section 22 of the NDPS Act and vide judgment and order dated 21.11.2016, he was convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 years and to pay a fine of Rs.1,00,000/- and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of six months. As per office report, the appellant Kaka @ Raju has died on 17.10.2021.

In view of the above, the criminal miscellaneous application for suspension of sentence as well as the main appeal have abated and are disposed of as such.
