RITU BAHRI, J.(Oral) Petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to the respondents to pay the house rent allowance @ 20% on the basic pay of pre-revised pay scale w.e.f the date of appointment of petitioners, as per the statutory rules and instructions Learned counsel for the petitioners at the very outset submits that this issue has already been considered by this Court in a case of Meenu Kaushik and others vs. State of Haryana and others, passed in CWP No. 29139-2019, decided on 04.10.2019.
In this regard, petitioners had given legal notice dated 11.12.2019 (P-14) but no action has been taken till date. Issue notice of motion.
On asking of the Court, Mr. Kiran Pal Singh, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. Without commenting upon merits of the case, this petition at this stage is being disposed of by giving direction to the respondent No. 3 to GAURAV ARORA 2020.02.24 12:03 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh decide the legal notice dated 11.12.2019 (P-14) and pass appropriate orders,
CWP No. 3279-2020 in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
In case the legal notice is not decided within six months, there shall be cost of Rs.25,000/- to be paid to all the petitioners. This condition of imposing cost is only to prevent the petitioners to run from pillar to post and avail remedy of contempt in case of non-compliance of directions issued by this Court.
