Mr. K.S. Kahlon, Advocate for the petitioner. HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Instant petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.170 dated 05.12.2015 under Sections 283,153 IPC and Section 8-B of the National Highway Act, 1956 registered at P.S Beas, District Amritsar. The allegations in the FIR are that certain named people i.e Balbir Singh, Muchhal, Natha Singh, Sukha Singh, Gurdev Singh, Jarnail Singh, Avtar Singh, Dr. Harnek Singh, Bikramjit Singh along with other 250-300 persons had blocked the National Highway of Amritsar Beas link road on 16.10.2015 and 17.10.2015 causing obstruction to the general public. The petitioner was not named in the FIR. Investigation remained pending for long. The petitioner is stated to have been declared as proclaimed offender.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that there was no intention on the part of the petitioner to evade the process of law. He states that in the proclamation proceedings, the name of the father of the petitioner MANOJ KUMAR 2019.02.25 09:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-5247 of 2019 #2# was wrongly mentioned whereas the father's name of the petitioner is Shivdev Singh. The proclamation was initiated under the title of Lovepreet Singh son of Shabeg Singh. He states that the petitioner is a simple man engaged in agriculture. He states that the petitioner is ready and willing to face the trial.

Notice of motion.

Ms. Sunint Kaur, AAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State of Punjab. In view of the above, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner may appear before the learned Illaqa Magistrate on or before 15th March, 2019. On his doing so, he shall be released on interim bail. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the trial Court as and when required. He shall remain bound by the undertaking.
