On 21.04.2023 the following order was passed : "Today, learned counsel representing the State has placed on record one copy of statement of the petitioner recorded by the police. In the entire statement, she claimed that there was no fault of Navneet Singh and she has levelled allegations against her husband i.e. respondent No.5 for beating her and maltreatment. Learned counsel representing the State wants to clarify this fact and accordingly, he prays for an adjournment.

On request, adjourned to 12.07.2023."

2023:PHHC:092660 CRWP No.1134 of 2023 -2Thereafter, on 12.07.2023, the following order was passed : "Status report by way of affidavit of Dr. Riputapan Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, City, District Gurdaspur has been filed in Court today, which is taken on the record. As per the status report, the statement of the petitioner was recorded wherein she has stated that she and her husband are living separately and she does not apprehend any danger from her husband and his family members and that she does not want any security.

Matter has been called twice. No one has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. In the interest of justice, adjourned to 21.07.2023."

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASIKulwant Singh, has stated that the petitioner-wife has got her statement recorded to the effect that she is living with her husband and the matter stands compromised between her and her husband. A copy of the statement of the petitioner has also been filed in Court today. The same is taken on record as Mark 'A', 3.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
