(ORAL) The petitioners claim themselves to be the original owners of the land measuring 25 kanals 16 marlas situated in village Ranipur, Tehsil and District Pathankot, fully described in the writ petition. The grievance set out in the instant writ petition is with regard to the appointment of Prabhat Gir Chela Pancham Gir as 'Mohatmim' of Prachin Temple situated in Hadbast No.356, village Ranipur Chikla, Block Sujanpur, Tehsil and District Pathankot, to manage the RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2019.03.11 11:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-3323-2019 (O&M) aforesaid 25 kanals 16 marlas of land including the 5 marlas land over which temple has been constructed, vide order dated 8.10.2018 (Annexure P5), passed by the Government of Punjab, Revenue and Rehabilitation Department, on the recommendation dated 1.10.2018 (Annexure P4), by different revenue Authorities. It is not disputed that a civil suit stands filed by the petitioners against the LRs of the previous 'Mohatmim' seeking a declaration of ownership and possession of the land in dispute including 5 marlas of land underneath the temple.

At the time of hearing, realising that writ jurisdiction of this Court, is not the appropriate forum, counsel for the petitioners prays for permission to withdraw the instant writ petition to enable his clients to seek the remedy, in accordance with law.
