RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for quashing of FIR No.24, dated 10.02.2021, under Sections 452, 323, 506, 148, 149 IPC, registered at Police Station Rajasansi, Amritsar, District Amritsar Rural, and all subsequent proceedings arising out of the same on the basis of compromise deed, dated 22.12.2022, Annexure P-2. It has been contended by counsel for the petitioners that both the sides are close relatives and FIR was registered on some misunderstanding. He further submits that now with the intervention of respectable persons, both the parties have amicably resolved their issues and have decided not to pursue the FIR.

Notice of motion.

Mr.M.S.Bhatti, Advocate, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondents Nos.2 and 3 and affirms the submissions made by counsel for the petitioners.

CRM-M-6423-2023 -2However, he submits, on instructions from ASI Subhash Chander, that investigation in this case is under progress and the petitioners have not even joined the investigation.

Counsel for the petitioners prays for withdrawal of this petition, at this stage, with liberty to the petitioners to pursue their remedies before the competent authority.

Allowed as prayed for.

Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid. However, State authorities are directed to complete the investigation expeditiously preferably within one month from today keeping in view the submissions made by counsel for the petitioners that the parties are closely related and they have amicably resolved their issues.
