(ORAL) The challenge in the writ petition is to the order dated 13.10.1997 (Annexure P-4) whereby the Government had constituted a constituency in exercise of powers conferred under Section 89(3) of Sikh Gurdwara Act, 1925 for election to the Committee of Gurdwara Panchayati Siri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. The writ petition was admitted on 22.07.1998 but the stay was refused.

The pendency of the writ petition would not yield any fruitful result, much less, lot of time has elapsed as the order under challenge is of the year 1997. No cause of action survives for consideration. The writ petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.
