The present petition has been filed under Article 226 read with Section 482 Cr.P.C for grant of parole for the time period of 4 weeks to the petitioner (convicted vide judgment dated 26.10.2021 passed by learned Special Judge, Fatehgarh Sahib in case FIR No. 201 dated 26.11.2015 under Section 18 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Fatehgarh Sahib.

Notice are served upon the official respondents through the State's counsel. Given the nature of the order that this Court proposes to pass, neither the response of official respondents nor the issuance of notices to the private respondents is required. 3.
Let the petitioner represent the concerned Superintendent of Jail, within two weeks from today. If the petitioner files a representation within the above-mentioned time period of two weeks, then, the same shall be decided by the concerned Superintendent of Jail, within two months, himself without being influenced by the previous order if any was passed against the petitioner. It is clarified that such order must be a reasoned order, and the same be communicated to the representationists without delay.

Liberty reserved to the petitioner to file fresh petition or to take other legal remedies in accordance with the law.

It is clarified that there is no adjudication on merits. It is further clarified that this order shall not come in the way if the interrogation of the petitioner is required in any cognizable case.
