Status report by way of affidavit of Dr. Arpit Jain, Superintendent of Police, Sirsa, has been placed on file on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3.

Dr. Arpit Jain, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Sirsa is present in person today.

It is disclosed that in fact investigation was concluded much earlier and the cancellation report dated 18.04.2021 was prepared but due to the lapses of concerned S.H.O., said cancellation report was not submitted before the concerned Jurisdictional Magistrate. After getting notice from this Court, departmental action has been initiated against the guilty S.H.O.

It is further submitted by learned State counsel that cancellation report has since been submitted before the Court concerned. Having regard to the aforesaid circumstances, the petitioner will be at liberty to file protest petition before the Court concerned. Disposed of.
