***** ARCHANA PURI, J. (Oral) In view of the compliance of the order dated 27.02.2026, the Director General, Prem Singh, has made appearance today. Considering the contents of paragraph No.6 of the speaking order, the Director General, states at bar that the arrears of salary for the period 21.03.2025 to 02.04.2025, in pursuance of inquiry having been withdrawn, shall be paid to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks fro today onwards.
In view of the undertaking, so given, at this stage, counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not want to pursue with the present contempt petition and the same be dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to assail the speaking order, if need so arises. Ordered accordingly.
However, the Director General, namely, Prem Singh, shall remain bound by the statement, so made, failing which, he shall be facing further contempt, if need be.
