This is a revision petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India with a limited prayer to direct the Court of the Rent Controller, Chandigarh to decide the Rent Petition No.244 of 2019 titled as Sanjay Kumar vs. Neelam Chauhan in a time-bound manner in view of the fact that the petitioner is a senior citizen and a heart patient. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the rent petition was filed by the petitioner seeking eviction of the tenant on the ground of arrears of rent and personal bona fide necessity. It is further contended that the petitioner is a senior citizen and the rent petition is pending since the year 2019 and as such a direction may be issued for early disposal of the rent petition.
