By way of present writ petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has approached this Court inter alia for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to issue a licence to him under the Arms Act, 1959. 2.

Upon instructions, State counsel has placed on record a copy of order dated 15.03.2024, issued by Joint Police Commissioner, Faridabad, to submit that the petitioner's application has been rejected. Copy of the order has been supplied to the counsel for the petitioner, who seeks and is granted permission to withdraw the petition with liberty to take recourse to the remedy available to the petitioner, in accordance with law. 3.
