By way of instant writ petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has approached this Court inter alia for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing order dated 30.01.2023, Annexure P-3, passed by respondent No.2, whereby, he has cancelled the Arms License of the petitioner. 2.
Status report by way of affidavit of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, East, Amritsar, has been filed on behalf of the official respondents, and by referring to it, State counsel submits that the petitioner has an alternate remedy of filing an appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959, read with Rule 105 and 106 of the Arms Rules, 2016.
