' % ( ) "1"6& Petitioner has approached this Court with a grievance that despite the directions issued by this Court on 23.01.2013 in CWP-14631-2012 titled as 'Daljit Singh vs. State of Punjab and another', which was preferred by the petitioner, the application of the petitioner which he had moved for allotment of a house at SAS Nagar, Mohali, has not been considered in un-allotted house/dwelling unit at Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala and Bathinda, reserved for 1984 Riots Victims.
Counsel for the petitioner has pointed out with reference to the various representations which have been submitted by the petitioner to the Chief Commissioner, GLADA, Ludhiana, Chief Administrator, GMADA, Mohali, but without any result. Even notice to counsel dated 15.06.2022 (Annexure P-12) addressed to the respondents has not solicited any response. 2023:PHHC:045628-DB CWP-3042-2023 -2Counsel for the petitioner in the light of the above contends that the petitioner, at this stage, would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider legal notice dated 15.06.2022 (Annesxure P-12) within a specified time and take a decision thereon. Counsel for the respondents has pointed out that the petitioner could have moved any application before the concerned authority wherever a Scheme is launched, as 5% of the plots/flats are reserved for the category of 1984 Riot Victims.
Counsel for the petitioner is unable to inform the Court as to whether the petitioner had ever applied in pursuance to such a Scheme. Let the petitioner apply to the competent authority for consideration of his application wherever a Scheme is launched as per the policy letter dated 02.03.2023. In case such an application is moved, the same shall be considered a decision taken thereon positively. With these observations, writ petition stands disposed of. 7"1"8 7"5 #
