**** ANOOP CHITKARA, J. (ORAL) Vide this petition, complainant seeks direction to be issued to the concerned SHO/competent authority to launch prosecution. State counsel on instructions from ASI Bhora Ram submits that now the cancellation report has been prepared.

Once the cancellation report has been prepared, there cannot be any direction to the State to launch prosecution, as such, the present petition stands disposed of.

It is clarified that before accepting the cancellation report, the concerned Court shall give ample opportunities to the complainant to file its response and shall also hear the complainant at length. Furthermore, the complainant shall be permitted to file a protest petition before the concerned Court.
