Learned counsel for the respondents has submitted that the order of the learned Single Judge of which the contempt was alleged has been modified by the Division Bench on 05.02.2026 in the following terms: "6.

In that view of the matter, we modify the judgment dated 11.09.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge and dispose of this Appeal with a direction upon the appellant-University to examine the claim of all respondents, independently, considering the length of their service in accordance with the applicable regularization policy, keeping in view the observations made by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Jaggo (Supra) and Dharam Singh (Supra) within a period of three months from today.

The respondents, who are still in employment, shall not be disengaged till an appropriate decision in terms of the above observations is taken and communicated to them. 8.

All pending applications in this case, if any, are disposed of accordingly."

It is submitted that in pursuance of the said order, the respondents-authorities are taking action in accordance with law and the present contempt petition has been rendered infructuous. 3.

None has appeared on behalf of the petitioners to rebut the said aspect. None had appeared on the last date of hearing also. 4.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to revive the same in case they want to pursue the present case or in case any cause survives.
