Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter-alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 05.03.2019 (P-4); whereby punishment for stoppage of two increments with cumulative effect was imposed upon the petitioner.
Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that during the interregnum, CWP-6972-2021 has been filed by the petitioner and which is pending for consideration on 30.08.2022 before this Court.
In view of the above development, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the petition on merits; rather wishes to withdraw the same with a limited prayer that respondent No.2 be SANJAY GUPTA 2022.05.13 14:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-3949-2020 [2] directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated on the basis of charge-sheets dated 29.11.2018, 05.08.2019 & 03.09.2019 (P-7, P-10 & P-14), respectively, on some early date. Prayer seems to be justified.
As a result thereof, this writ petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2-The Director, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab to conclude the disciplinary proceedings pending on the basis of charge-sheets noticed above, in accordance with law, at the earliest; but not later than 31.08.2022, if there is no legal impediment.
