IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH CWP-2834-2026 (O&M) Date of Decision : 07.04.2026 RAHUL SODHI .... Petitioner

VERSUS

STATE OF PUNJAB AND ORS .... Respondents CORAM : HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ALKA SARIN HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMESH CHANDER DIMRI Present :

Mr. Mansur Ali, Senior Advocate with Ms. Amarpreet Kooner, Advocate and Mr. Vaibhav Garg, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Akhil Kamra, AAG Punjab for respondents No.1 to 3. Ms. Kavita Arora, Advocate for respondent No.4. ALKA SARIN, J. (ORAL) 1.

Learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has contended that Annexure P-5 is the representation given by the petitioner for considering his case for release of the land relying on the order dated 11.12.2020 (Annexure P-12) whereby the land of some of the other landowners was released. The State Government called for the comments of respondent No.4-Improvement Trust which were submitted on 19.10.2021. It is further the contention of the learned senior counsel that till date no decision has been taken on the said representation made despite the comments having been sent by respondent No.4-Improvement Trust as far back as 19.10.2021. AMAN JAIN 2026.04.08 10:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for respondents No.1 to 3, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that he does not wish to press the present writ petition at this stage and seeks permission to withdraw the same. 4.
