*** HARSH BUNGER, J. (Oral) This petition has been filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondent No.2 to issue the passport to the petitioner. 2.

On advance service of copy of petition, Mr. Prajwal Chauhan, Central Govt. Counsel appears on behalf of the respondents-Union of India. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondents-Union of India submits that as regards the application seeking issuance of passport, filed by the petitioner is concerned, the Regional Passport Office, Jalandhar had issued a letter dated 06.11.2024 (Annexure P-1), which has not been adverted to by the petitioner. It is submitted that in the said communication/letter dated 06.11.2024, the petitioner was asked to explain the status as regards the three FIR's registered against him at Police Station Shahkot, bearing F.I.R. No.02, dated 04.01.2024, under Section 36(1) of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, F.I.R. No.13, dated 22.01.2024, under Section 447 of the HIMANI GUPTA 2025.02.15 10:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

CWP-3158-2025 (O&M) -2Indian Penal Code, and F.I.R. No.307, dated 06.11.2020, under Sections 323, 324, 447, 427, 506, 109, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code, however, since no response has been received from the petitioner, the said application is still on hold.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition at this stage with liberty to the petitioner to respond to the letter dated 06.11.2024 (Annexure P-1) and address all the queries/information and/or provide any document sought from him at the first instance. 5.

In view of the above, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn at this stage with the liberty aforesaid. 6.
