(ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Present criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for the release of detenue, Geetu, daughter of the petitioner, from the alleged illegal custody of respondent No. 5.

Status report by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Head Quarter, Panipat dated 23.2.2021, filed in the Registry, is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No. 5, who is already married to one Ruchi daughter of Dalbir, and is also involved in many criminal cases, has detained the detenue. CRWP No. 1632 of 2021 -2Krishan Kumar-respondent No. 5. It has also been mentioned that respondent No. 5 has not performed marriage with Ruchi and in this regard, the statement of Ruchi has also been recorded on 19.2.2021. Keeping in view the above, no further action is called for. The petition stands disposed of.
