UNION OF INDIA AND OTHERS ... RESPONDENTS CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAGMOHAN BANSAL

Mr. Raman Sharma, Advocate for the respondents-BPCL.
*** JAGMOHAN BANSAL, J. (Oral) 1.
The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of selection/recommendation of respondent No.4 vide letter dated 05.06.1999 (Annexure P-5) for LPG distributorship at Balluana, Tehsil Abohar, District Ferozepur. 2.
Mr. Raman Sharma, Advocate submits that respondent No.4 has set up and commenced its petrol pump on 14.12.1999. The selection of respondent No.4, at this belated stage, ought not to be cancelled. 3.
The petitioner filed present petition in 2001 assailing selection of respondent No.4 in 1999. In the same year, respondent No.4 set up its petrol pump.
4.
This Court finds substance in the statement of respondents that at this belated stage, it would not be just and fair to cancel selection of respondent No.4 on the grounds raised by the petitioner. Anju Goel 2024.04.25 17:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
