ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.2 to revise the result of waiting list of EWS category and recommend the name of the petitioner for appointment on the post of Clerk along with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to advertisement dated 20.06.2019 (Annexure P1) petitioner applied for the post of Clerk under category No.1 being EWS candidate. Petitioner appeared for the written examination held on 22.09.2019 and secured 60 marks. However, she has not been awarded 05 marks for Socio Economic Criteria, whereas, none of his family members is/was or has been in regular employment as mentioned in the application form. Qua her grievance, petitioner caused issuance of a legal notice dated 03.01.2022 (Annexure P-6), the same has not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the instant petition.

Learned State counsel, on advance service, joins proceedings and submits that competent authority shall take appropriate decision on the pending legal notice dated 03.01.2022 (Annexure P-6). GURPREET KAUR 2022.02.25 10:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the grievance of the petitioner as per legal notice dated 03.01.2022 (Annexure P-6) and also in view the contentions raised in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and take a decision, in accordance with law.

Let the needful be done as expeditiously as possible. 7.

Disposed of accordingly.
