**** Manjari Nehru Kaul, J.(Oral) Petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 for taking action on his application dated 25.12.2022 (Annexure P-1) and thereafter proceed against respondents No.4 to 7 for the commission of crime alleged.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the private respondents committed cheating with him almost 12 years back and ever since then, he had been running from pillar to post seeking legal action against the private respondents as they had also been threatening him with dire consequences. Learned counsel further submits that vide representation dated 25.12.2022 (Annexure P-1), the respondent No.2 had been duly intimated about the fraud committed by the private respondents. However, the authorities concerned had failed to initiate any action against the offenders. It has been submitted that the official respondents were under a legal obligation to look into his representation and take action against the private respondents.

CRM-M-7665-2023 -2Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the relevant material on record.

The alleged offence was committed by the private respondents way back in the year 2010 and it is only as recently as on 25.12.2022 that petitioner moved an application before the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar - respondent No.2 seeking legal action against the private respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioner has failed to bring to the notice of this Court any document to substantiate his submissions qua the petitioner moving from pillar to post from the year 2010 to 2022 for initiating legal action against the private respondents. This Court, therefore, does not find any merit in the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

Accordingly, the present petitioner being devoid of any merit stands dismissed. The petitioner is, however, at liberty to avail of any other legal remedy as may be available to him in accordance with law. (MANJARI NEHRU KAUL) JUDGE 14.02.2023 sonia Whether speaking/reasoned:
