**** Manjari Nehru Kaul, J.(Oral) The petitioner has invoked the inherent jurisdiction of this Court under Section 482 Cr.PC for issuance of directions to the official respondents to register a FIR under the relevant Sections of Indian Penal Code against respondent No.5, who allegedly has been blackmailing him and attempting to extort money from him.
The case of the petitioner is that despite representation dated 27.08.2019 (Annexure P-2) having been given to respondent No.3Superintendent of Police, Ambala City, the official respondent had failed to initiate any action against respondent No.5.
Learned State counsel, at the outset, has drawn the attention of this Court to the affidavit dated 30.04.2020 filed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ambala. Learned State counsel submits that a detailed inquiry was carried out into the allegations levelled by the petitioner in the SONIA BURA 2023.03.10 10:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRM-M-5792-2020 -22023:PHHC:037468 representation dated 27.08.2019 (Annexure P-2), however, no substance was found in the allegations levelled by the petitioner. In view of the reply filed, this Court is not inclined to invoke its inherent jurisdiction under Section 482 Cr.PC to accept the prayer of the petitioner for issuance of directions as prayed for. Accordingly, the present petition stands dismissed.
