By virtue of the present petition under Section 482 BNSS, petitioner, an accused in case bearing FIR No.139 dated 12.07.2025 registered under Section 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 190, 191(3) BNS at Police Station City Budhlada, District Mansa, has prayed for grant of pre-arrest bail.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from HC Sarvjeet Singh, submits that petitioner has joined the investigation and is not needed for further investigation.

On 31.01.2026, following order was passed by this Court:- "Apprehending his arrest in FIR No.139 dated 12.07.2025 registered for offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 190, 191(3) of BNS 2023 at Police Station City Budhlada, District Mansa; the petitioner has preferred this petition under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking pre-arrest bail.
Counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated into the FIR in question; the petitioner is a young man with clean antecedents; assuming arguendo, the prosecution version available at this juncture is taken to be correct, the petitioner is ascribed the role of giving an injury on the elbow with an iron rod which has presently declared as simple in nature & the petitioner is willing to join investigation and cooperate therein as per law. On the strength of advance notice; Mr. Adhiraj Singh, AAG, Punjab has entered appearance on behalf of the respondentState of Punjab. Adjourned to 25.02.2026.
The petitioner is directed to appear before the Investigating Officer on 05.02.2026 at 11:00 A.M. in concerned Police Station and join investigation. In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal/surety bond(s) to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. As and when further called by Investigating Officer, the petitioner shall join the investigation. He shall abide by the condition(s) enumerated under Section 482(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023."

Keeping in view the fact that petitioner has joined the investigation, interim bail granted vide order dated 31.01.2026 is hereby confirmed, subject to conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) BNSS. Further the petitioner is directed to join investigation as and when required in future by way of written notice for such purpose to be served by Investigating Officer of this case upon the petitioner; he will neither tamper with the evidence nor will influence the witnesses and nor will leave the country without prior permission of the Court. 5.
The petition stands allowed.
