**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) The petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No. 263 dated 27.5.2019 under Sections 148, 149, 323, 324, 452, 307 IPC registered at Police Station City Sonepat, District Sonepat. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the injuries attributed to the petitioner are on the head and legs of Arjun Singh, who is the father of the complainant, with an iron rod and the said injuries are sharp and simple in nature. He further submits that injury under Section 307 IPC has not been attributed to the petitioner and he has been in custody since 27.5.2019.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Baljinder Singh, submits that the injuries attributed to the petitioner on the person of Arjun Singh, are sharp and simple in nature. He further submits that out of 26 prosecution witnesses, none has been examined. CRM-M No. 5783 of 2020 (O&M) -2The injuries attributed to the petitioner are sharp and simple in nature. The petitioner has been in custody since 27.5.2019. Out of 26 prosecution witnesses, none has been examined. The trial will take time to conclude. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars.

Without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
