JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Mandeep Singh, Advocate for the petitioners. ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioners who claim themselves to be major have approached this Court seeking protection of their lives as they apprehend threat to the same, having married against the wishes of their parents and relatives.

At this stage, Mr. Amit Dhawan, Advocate, has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.4 and has filed Vakalatnama, which is taken on record. Respondents No.4 is also present in person. The learned counsel for respondent No.4 has requested that respondent No.4 may be permitted to meet petitioner No.1-Vibhuti Sharma for a short while.

Acceding to the aforesaid request, aforesaid respondent No.4 was permitted to have a word with petitioner No.1-Vibhuti Sharma for a short while, outside the Court room. After they came back, respondent No.4 KAMAL KUMAR 2020.02.11 13:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-1400-2020 (O&M) was advised not to cause any harm to the petitioners and not to take law in his hand.

The learned counsel for respondent No.4 has assured that respondent No.4 or any of his relatives will not harm the petitioners in any manner.

The petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, District Patiala (Punjab) to look into the representation dated 5.2.2020 (Annexure P-6) made by the petitioners, in accordance with law, immediately upon receipt of certified copy of this order. In case any apprehension of threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners is found, requisite steps be taken immediately, in accordance with law, to protect life and liberty of the petitioners. A copy of this order along with a copy of representation dated 5.2.2020 (Annexure P-6) be sent to respondent No.2- Senior Superintendent of Police, District Patiala.

It is however, clarified that the aforesaid order shall not be construed to be an expression as regards validity of the alleged marriage of the parties.
