Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to issue appointment/joining letter in favour of the petitioner for the post of Anganwadi Worker of village Panje Ke Hitthar, Centre No. 1. 2.
Learned counsel would contend that the petitioner was selected as per the merit displayed on the notice board in the month of September 2023, whereafter vide letter dated 25.09.2024, Annexure P-10, the Directorate of Social Security and Women and Child Development Department, Punjab addressed to District Programme Officer, Ferozepur that the petitioner be informed while taking action on the matter as per Rules, whereafter even legal demand notice dated 18.11.2024, Annexure P-11, has been served, but the same has yet not evoked any response.He thus, at this stage, on instructions from the petitioner, prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made.
