The instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing respondents No.1 to 3 to ensure protection of life and liberty of petitioner at the hands of private respondents and to take legal action on the complaints dated 08.02.2022 (Annexures P-1 to P-3) given against private respondents herein.

It is contended that the petitioner has submitted complaints dated 08.02.2022 (Annexures P-1 to P-3) against the private respondents alleging therein that she has threat of life and liberty at the hands of private respondents, however, till date no action has been taken by the official respondents.

At this stage, Mr. A.S. Gill, Sr. DAG, Punjab who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that the official respondents will look into the matter and will take a decision on complaints dated 08.02.2022 (Annexures P-1 to P-3) of the petitioner. In view of the above, I dispose of the instant petition by directing the official respondents to take action on the complaints dated 08.02.2022 (Annexures P-1 to P-3) of the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law and provide protection to her, if the need so arise.
