This is a petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of directions to respondent No.3 to file status report in FIR No.68 dated 15.06.2018 registered under Sections 363, 366-A, 376, 506, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860; Sections 3 and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959, at Police Station Mamdot, District Ferozepur. 2.
As per the status report, vide letter dated 06.10.2020 issued by the Director, Bureau of Investigation, Punjab, investigation of the present case was conducted by Assistant Inspector General of Police, State Cyber Cell, Punjab and during investigation the case was found to be false. Thereafter, after completion of investigation, a cancellation report was presented before the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Ferozepur and vide order dated 27.01.2022 the Court concerned had sent back the cancellation report with the direction to conduct re-investigation and the same was ordered to be conducted by an Officer to the level of Deputy Superintendent AMAN JAIN 2023.12.14 10:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this judgment/order.
CRM-M-7578-2023 (O&M) -2of Police (DSP). In compliance of the said order, re-investigation was marked to Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rural), Ferozepur who also agreed with the recommendation of cancellation. 3.
After filing of the status report, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner on 09.08.2023 and the case was adjourned to 20.10.2023 with direction to the Registry to inform the learned counsel for the petitioner of the date fixed. As per the Office report, learned counsel for the petitioner was duly informed. Despite being duly informed, no one had appeared on behalf of the petitioner on 20.10.2023 also and the case was adjourned for today. Even today, no one has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. 4.
In view of the above and keeping in view the contents of the status report, as narrated above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition and the same is disposed off as such.
