Seeking modification in the order dated 10.12.2021 passed by Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar, the petitioner-complainant has come up before this Court under Section 482 CrPC.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a permanent resident of Canada and presently, residing in Canada. Due to opposite time zones of both countries (India and Canada), when the Courts are open in India, the Courts in Canada are closed and as such, at the time of video conferencing, he be permitted to appear through chamber of the Notary Public in Canada.

Counsel appearing for the accused submits that they would have no objection if the present petition is allowed and they will not claim any prejudice in this regard. Given above, the present petition is allowed. Order dated 10.12.2021 shall be read with the modification that the petitioner shall be permitted to appear through chamber of the Notary Public in Canada.
