(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the private respondents entered into the house of the petitioners on 13.1.2021 during night and damaged the main gate of their house and attempted to kill petitioner No.2-Hardev Singh by way of causing injuries to him with sword and sticks.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that although petitioner No.2-Hardev Singh got himself examined from Civil Hospital, Rampura Phul, as would be evident from the MLR (Annexure P-2), and infact he also got himself X-rayed, which shows presence of a fracture on his face, but the police has not taken any action although a complaint/representation dated 2.2.2021 (Annexure P-1) was also submitted to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda. ( 2 ) CRM-M-8452-2021 (O&M) Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case or as regards averments made in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda to look into the matter and to ensure that the complaint/representation dated 2.2.2021 (Annexure P-1) is got examined in accordance with law expeditiously. In case the allegations levelled therein are found to be well founded, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest.
