The instant petition has been filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 read with Section 482, for grant of interim bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.70 dated 21.09.2019 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 302, 452, 324, 323, 148, 149 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Talwandi Bhai, District Ferozepur for a period of 15 days as the marriage of the daughter of the petitioner is due to be solemnized on 15.02.2024 at Village Pasla, Tehsil Phillaur, District Jalandhar. 2.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, has submitted that the marriage of the daughter of the petitioner is indeed to be solemnized on 15.02.2024 at Village Pasla, Tehsil Phillaur, District Jalandhar. 3.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the relevant material placed on record.

In view of the nature and gravity of offence and the stage of trial, this Court is not inclined to accept the prayer of the petitioner for grant of Jaspreet Kaur 2024.02.14 10:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRM-M-6879-2024 -2interim bail for 15 days. However, he is allowed to attend the marriage of his daughter only for 1 day i.e. 15.02.2024 in police custody. The petitioner shall be taken under police custody to the venue of the wedding i.e. Village Pasla, Tehsil Phillaur, District Jalandhar at 07.00 A.M. and would be escorted back to the Jail, where he is presently lodged, on the same day by 05.00 P.M. All the travel expenses incurred by the authorities concerned, shall be borne by the petitioner. 5.
